| Play and Learn Preschool is offering an after school class for children ages 3 to 10.
This class has been developed to encourage children explore and express themselves through art activities.
Children will have the opportunity to work in small groups in guided activity-based art projects.
Art Exploration will cover a variety of projects and techniques in different media, including water-color, collage, painting, drawing and the use of recycled objects.
Early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes brain development.
Art helps children understand other subjects much more clearly —from math and science, to language arts and geography.
Art nurtures inventiveness as it engages children in a process that aids in the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self-motivation.
Participating in art activities helps children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, adapting to and respecting others' ways of working and thinking, devel- oping creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways.
Art is not just about showing kids how to recognize famous artists, it's about preparing young minds for a future of invaluable experiences.
